What Latham contributed
Woodville Latham’s Eidoloscope was publicly demonstrated in 1895, while Robert Paul developed British cameras and projectors. The Lumière Cinématographe combined camera, printer and projector in a portable system. Its Paris ticketed programme on 28 December 1895 is historically important but not a singular global birth.
