Thanks Crimson. I thought I had to delve a bit deeper than Cricinfo ... :D

Now it's your turn again as the mastermind of this thread.

That is absolutely correct. Peter Binsteed Breese played two matches for Midlands in 2000, scoring a paltry 17 runs in four innings -- he was almost 39 years old at that time.

I suppose he could bankroll first-class cricket in Zim with the spare change in his pocket nowadays.

Grant Flower is correct, but the reasoning needs a little more refinement. There is no one else in this elite list. Can you try again?
Oh yes sorry!,only these gentlemen managed to pull it off in both tests and odis.

Judged the context way too cursorily especially with the question coming on the back of latham's knock today

That's correct. I knew of the feat of Anwar and Grant, but was surprised there were two more in this list. Obviously the timing of the question made it a little easier...

469. What connects these three folks apart from the most obvious part of having represented Zim at the highest level?

Correct! Stephen Peall, Dirk Viljoen and Natsai MShangwe are the only Zimbabweans out of 99 test caps to have scored a pair of ducks on debut. Viljoen would be cringing every time he sees this dubious record I'm sure... :)

After the Zim team arrival photograph in Bangladesh created a lot of speculations about Kenyon Zeihl's identity, and many of us turned detectives (well, one of us literally, through the forum name :)) to find out who he really is, I thought of having a photo quiz in the forum to remember the names and moments of Zimbabwean Cricket.

Here are the rules:

Anybody can post photos related to Zimbabwean cricket and ask a question related to it, and others would have to give the answers.

First to answer correctly would earn a point.

We can keep track of the points to see who is leading the race at any point of time.

What say?

Let me start with a question myself. A fairly easy one to begin with:

Nope. Keep guessing :)

Pommie it is! So, you get the first point.

Here we go with the second one:

This photo above indicates the beginning of troubled times for Mark Vermeulen. Who was responsible for this injury?
ZCF Hall of Famer
You say "beginning", so I'll go with Travis Friend - not Irfan Pathan who struck Vermeulen later.

Pretty fast reply! and correct one too :)

Scores so far:

Just for info: The Pathan blow was even worse, and here is the pic:

Name all of the players in this photo:

Background information:

- It is a First Class match

- Consider the date
ZCF OriginalZCF Hall of Famer
Ah! the date was a giveaway. Otherwise, I would have thought long and hard about this photo, assuming that it is from a Logan cup match.

This was a year ago during Pakistan tour. And the gentlemen in the picture: Tatenda Taibu, Brendan Taylor and Nasir Jamshed :)
