CDG seems to be benefitting from his team mates carrying the slack left by him, the fact the entire Kiwi top 6 have been making runs and the bowling double of Southee and Boult have done so well have really covered over the fact that CDG hasn’t been making runs or taking wickets.
I think if the side wasn’t winning so much he would have dropped by now.

He certainly has some soft dismissals, which is strange because I’ve seen him play a few innings where he actually has touch and he’s not just a blunt instrument.
As a seamer the opposition go after him because it’s so hard to get Bolt and Southee away when they’re bowling well and unless you’re a puller you’re generally bobbing and weaving when you’re facing Wagner. When he comes on you can actually see batters breathe a sigh of relief and try and cash in, and often make mistakes. I enjoy watching him play because of the Zim connection, but I’m sure he’s more kiwi than zimbo by now. Has he got any tats yet? That’s when you know he’s crossed over 😂

Colin de Grandhomme would be largely ineffective as a bowler outside of NZ or English conditions I think. His batting is ok, but he doesn't strike me as the most talented guy. Maybe a good T20 guy?

His bowling will come good in seaming conditions, but I'm not sure he has the technique to bat any higher than 8 in Tests.

Colin de Grandhomme has been backed by New Zealand Selectors, despite failures as a result he is showing some improvement in every games, whereas Zimbabwe never backs a player, drops them affecting their confidence.

Unless you have examples to share(apart from the quintet of Mutziwa, Chisoro, Wellington, Jongwe and Madziva) the last country you can blame for that is ZIM to be honest.
But thy have been excellent for Zimbabwe.
Shingi too has been dropped several times but that has never affected his performance levels.

You must be kidding. Even after losing all his pace, Roach is a much better bowler than Panyangara.
A truly top notch bowler, both tearaway Roach Mk 1 and the cunning and crafty Roach Mk 2 are easily world class. Panyangara on the other hand hasn't really done that much from the 2015 World Cup onwards, seems to have spent most of that time injured or otherwise unavailable for some reason.

Performance and form limited in one of the least competative domestic cricket "Logan Cup" . All of their forms disappear when they meet international arena.

This guy is the best hand eye co-ordination I've seen since Virender Sehwag. Another demoralizing masterclass going on now, against the WI. I can't believe NZ did not bring him and Raval to India last year during their test series. They could have actually won the series looking at how they went even without them!
