What does restructuring personnel mean? Does it mean sacking people, shuffling them sideways, upwards or downwards? Or maybe just shouting at them to pull their socks up.
Restructuring franchise coaching? Same question.
Indoor facilities is a great move, but expensive and they'll still be talking about it in 5 years time.
The mythical academy manned by relatives and friends is largely pointless unless done properly.
The important one of paying the emerging/A/u25 or whatever they want to call them, so they can actually pay rent and eat for 12 months seems to not be relevant.
Will they make public the recommendation for huge salary hikes for board and admin for thinking of improving cricket?
Two months to come up with 5 broad and obvious statements is about right for this neck of the woods.
I guess we will wait for a year for the committee to be chosen to implement all these genius moves.

Oh and the big one of having unbiased and knowledgeable selections seems to have been overlooked.
These blokes wouldn't have asked any current players what they thought could improve things because they'd have been too terrified not to say things were fantastic.
I wonder who they approached who might have been vaguely honest? I suspect ZCF was tapped into. We should bill them.

These things they have suggested all sound good. As you say Googly, it’s all obvious stuff, stuff we’ve all been calling for for years.
Whether any of it actually happens is another question.
And when are we going to hear details?
What are the timeframes for this restructure?
Who is leading it?
Who is going to be held accountable for it?

One of the resolutions the board made is to ‘advertise for the head coach position’.

At least the penny has dropped and they have actually realised massive changes are needed. That’s progress! That’s half the battle.

No, it’s a big country. The climate varies from place to place. It also varies from year to year.
In Harare it rains a lot some years. In the middle of our cricket season!
A quick Wikipedia search shows it rains on average on 10 days in November, 16 days in December, 17 days in January and 14 days in February.

Also once it’s actually built it’s much easier and cheaper to maintain and operate an indoor facility than a high quality outdoor turf one.

What I’m curious to know about is why it has taken so long to realize we need a full time academy which pays players decently as well. A kid who has options has better chances of convincing his parents that there is a potential career on the line if they can show they have been accepted into an academy and are actually getting paid for it.
There are so many stories of kids choosing another path because of something so simple. Also what was the exact arrangement with Taibu and the Rising Stars, AC with the Rangers and Elton with his u25s setup. We need transparency

It’s going to take a lot of effort to get out of this mess. It might actually be too late. To even announce that we need indoor facilities everywhere is shocking. They have had the resources to do all this for years but instead they were talking about building a stadium in the middle of nowhere just to play 3 games a year there. There is a lack of passion for the game in those offices.

Honestly this sort of stuff was needed 10-15 years ago. We are so far behind now I'm not sure much is going to close the gap.
