Does Cremer get another game? He does well against sides like Namibia. Maybe one more before we write him off completely. I won't complain if Welly plays though.
Somebody here suggested dropping Raza down the order. Move Maru up to 4 and drop Raza to 7. Worth a try.
Who you got in your XI? Mine 👇

Got to go Wellington, Mr economy and vibes. I’d take economy over wickets in white ball any day of the week.
If anyone is moving up, it needs to be Wez, he’s an accumulator and that needs time. Old raz at 7 wouldn’t be the worst decision, bhai views himself as a finisher.

I would move Wes up to 4 if he can’t bat within the first 10.

I’d like it if there was a slower seamer, whoever that might be. Outright pace gets whacked in t20.

Wes at 4, Maru at 5, Burl at 6 and Raza at 7, imo
Or swap Burl and Maru. But 7 is way too low for a batter like Marumani to come in. Its a waste

Would have to be in this series. Not necessarily 4 overs from him, he’s worth a punt though. I’d have given him an over on Saturday to see how it went. When we were batting we were cruising against SA’s pacers then struggled when they took it off.
Long term someone with a Ravi Bopara vibe. He was basically unplayable in his late career, giving nothing for the batter to use and forcing them to muscle it round.
I think we’re very formulaic in our bowling. Old Raz seems obsessed with opening with spin in the powerplay 😂 then it’s like you guys are bowling these overs, no matter how the match is actually unfolding in real time. He had a piece of paper when we were fielding in one of the india t20s 😂😂 what was that if it wasn’t listing who was bowling when?!

Off-topic, but how would you rate Wes with Malcom Waller? I feel they are quite similar players.

Seem to remember he was handier with the bat than Wez but probably not as good a bowler. Feels many years since he played.

Never made sense bringing him back. At least with BT you could appreciate the logic, with him being a gun batter once upon a time, our batting being light and ZC panicking about bombing a third qualifier in a row 😂 I don’t think our spin bowling was in a similarly desperate state, ZC just didn’t really explore the options.

Wes has a tighter technique with the bat and doesn't chuck it like Waller used to. Wes should have a much better career than Waller, but he needs to get his head straight.
Waller's 99* against NZ was pretty special though.

ShareAnother failure for him not converting his 30s into 50s. He needs to work on his game in the NPL.

nothing Myers could have done there.
