best would be to tour Ireland or invite them in Zimbabwe for one test and five Odis.

We don't play Ireland enough .....

So we’ve got Namibia, Afghanistan, Qualifiers, Bangladesh, India and Australia all within the next 4 months. Finally lots of games

Just further to this, I've heard they are supposedly in contact with the Windies to organise a red and white ball 'A' tour later in the year as well.

:) :) away or home?

Not sure. They are looking at around late September/early October apparently. Hope this is true. Red ball ‘A’ fixtures in particular would be exciting and interesting

The australia games will be brutal 😂 they could pick their 10th team and we’d still get f***ed haha. But it’ll be fun seeing us tour their anyway.

And the T20 World Cup.. 😁

Aussies are skipping WSL games against Afghanistan and South Africa, how can they be allowed to do that?

I’m amazed they aren’t skipping us! Great news

The demise of the super league is just about the worst possible thing for teams like us sadly. These fixtures are golden

Well we have blessing ngarava and chivanga who are very quick by zimbabwe standards to face Australia. Quicker than the mupariwa or payangara trundlers we have been used to from yesteryear anyway.

Im confident our pacers can docvery well in australian conditions.

Batters im concerned about

This is actually all I'm looking forward to. The fast bowlers. It will be a real chance to show what they got but also at the same time a real challenge because the Aussies face far deadlier bowlers in the nets. Otherwise its going to be a massacre.

It will also be a good experience for Wes and Shumba

Yes from that point of view, it is true, although I'm hopeful we will have a slightly balanced FTP for next cycle and not the same crap it Big 3 playing 10 series against each other.

I think Aussies will slot in South Africa somewhere because they are playing against them, just that not playing the WSL games which is very strange, I think those games will happen.

I don't think Aussies are keen on playing Afghanistan in any format and I don't see that series happening.
ZCF Hall of Famer
Aussies are in fact playing South Africa for the WSL games.

They have deliberately left out Afghanistan. Well, in the context of WSL this is not a bad thing for Afg as they would have lost those 3 games, and not a good thing for SLN/WI who are still trying to squeeze into the top 8. Aussies seem to be taking a strong stand against the Taliban govt.
ZCF Hall of Famer
They did that against SA, Zim and various, but their own track record is not the greatest. Pot kettle.

Most dedicated & passionate fan of Zimbabwe is now tired of giving excuses 😂 Who chants on others for their views is loosing his own trust on Zim performance 😂 😂

Great to see the prediction. Zim will thrash everyone in upcomming fixtures except Aussies 😂

Was supposed to be Tests and white ball - I think according to the FTP.

But Tests looking very unlikely at this stage. Extra white ball games instead possibly.

Not an arrogant step by Aus, but its a clearcut intention hitting at ZC, if your team doesn't performs consistently against top sides when you play them, you can't get a game against them, you have to earn interest to play against top sides and Zim at present doesn't have that potential to play against top sides. Hope this sort of negelection makes ZC learn the modern approach of getting importance in the game and build a team according to it, so that they can be competitive and win games, if they continue to build team on nepotism & qouta politics satisfying themselves, its hard for ZC to seek any attention from top sides.

Bangladesh is great example of it, they beat Pak, India, SA, England at home around 2015-16 phase and suddenly their cricket took off and that created interest among top teams in playing against Bangladesh.
ZCF Hall of Famer
^ Way off the mark as usual. No surprise coming from an Indian who's cricket board is the most selfish of them ALL.

BCCI, ECB and Cricket Aus can all get f***ed btw.

So full of contradictions. Go and learn proper English, please.

'If your team doesn't perform consistently against top sides, you can't get a game against them'. Great contradiction here. Anyway, seeing as you seem unaware - Zimbabwe last played Australia in a Test in 2003. England in 2003 etc. How can we perform consistently against them, if we don't play them? 😂

You say Bangladesh did well in 2015-2016. Damn, we'd dream of the fixture list they had then. We get nothing even close to that, and have't for many years. Bangladesh have had better fixtures than us for the past 15 years. Consistently. It is a ridiculous comparison, utterly futile.
ZCF Hall of Famer
We'd get done up the ass by Australia of course, but that's besides the point.

Cricket is a ridiculous sport, governed in most countries by the worst possible people. And that has resulted in a ridiculous system where only a select few countries are allowed to play and there is extremely little interest or desire amongst those few to try and involve anybody else or grow the game anywhere.

It's easier just to throw 12 million dollars a year at us and tell us to be quiet and stay out of things.

Good on ZC for asking for a fixture in the first place, and good on them for speaking the truth about the Big Three.

Agreed. Vey disappointing

Also, we are one of the very very few countries in the world who actually still value red ball cricket and prioritises it. We've just played five months of domestic red ball cricket and only a week of T20. Is there any other country out there with such a heavy weighting and bias towards red ball cricket?

People in places like Australia and England regularly bang on every month or two about how 'test cricket is dying' and how terrible and awful that would be. And yet they don't want to play with the only country that actually still places so much emphasis on that format of the game? Weird.

Maybe if they are so bothered about their 'traditions' and 'safeguarding the history of the game for the future' and all that complete twaddle, then they should make their own efforts to sustain it by actually playing fellow test loving countries? Maybe one day they will realise that the reason it is 'dying' is because they play the same two teams every single year.

If we played 10 tests per year every year for five years, I think we would start to be very competitive in that format....

Zim played 3 test against Aus and have been brutally thrashed 3-0. Aussies loves to play with competative teams.Last time, Zim beat top team in Test was Pakistan in 2013, till then they got hammered by SA, NZ, PAK in test. West Indies, Sri Lanka are no longer a formidable force, still Zim can't beat them. Most recent wins was against lower ranked Bangladesh & Afghans, which are not enough to seek attention from top team. Zim should be lucky that NZ & PAK have played test against them. Idiot first use your brain and then reply please.Zim can't win test series against lower ranked side and they want to face Australia in Australia, get pee in your pant and sleep.

Zim quite a few time get chance to play South Africa in nearly every format, but results are only defeats ICC backed by top teams of asian subcontinent has huge role in keeping cricket alive in Zimbabwe. Zim played Test with NZ, SA, PAK, SL, West Indies and all the results were series defeats. If you can't win, you can't get fixtures against top opponents. Bangladesh managed to show competition whenever they played top teams. Better show your performance, win games and then debate. Stop crying on ICC and fixtures.Gone are those days, when boards use to set up fixtures without keeping in mind the business and money, nowdays game is based on performance, if you perform, win games for your country, you will get fixtures against top teams as they will show interest in playing, followed by the performers getting big money in T20 leagues.Once, Zim starts winning games they will again be considered as competative opponents and will get busy schedule. Zim still has plenty of things to give to world cricket, once people with good thinker of the game becomes independent ZC head

Yes, I checked after you mentioned. Bit strange that but I think we can go with what ZC have mentioned, they have announced the dates as well. So ACB admin might be mistaken there.

Edit: That lad got the dates wrong as well.
