Opening post

Lets hope the boys give a better showing than the last game ,I hope we can get a few quick wickets like we did in the First game. This time i hope they go for the kill.

We need our bowlers to keep it tight, Bangladesh have a good middle order.

The match preview is favoring Bangladesh,

We just need Craig and Sean back. Look at the difference Raza made with 30 and a wicket. At full strength we can compete. Myers and Wes can contribute.

Not only Sean & Craig. Need a quality wicket keeper batsman at the lower order.

Name a wk who better than regis at the moment. There is no one that why he is still there

We were about 20 runs short

As usual. even after scoring 330 we'd still be 20 runs short.

no the bowling is not at fault here
brightonchipangu & t.nyangani should be in A tours..after Chigumbura zim don't have a powerful hitter..we want allrounder like bliagnaut, travisfriend strong hitter..

Bangladesh escaped there haha. 173-7 to chase down 240...hats off to Saifuddin.

Shakib showed the value of just sticking to the wicket.

Overall a sloppy display from BD.

Shout out to Raza's fielding...guy is 35 just came back from serious illness and was still the best fielder out there today.

I knew Zimbabwe can lose from any position.

Literally it's time to give up on Zimbabwe cricket. I don't think anything is gonna change.

Meanwhile a video to show why Taylor was not out

Ya, tha was also against BD. I remembered it on match time. The third umpire gave out falsely. It was game changing decision. Then again I think Taylor was very lucky to survive huge lbw shout facing Taskin when he was on 1*.

Quite right. I find it an unbelievable decision - surely anybody can see that Taylor had completely finished his stroke at the ball, especially with that wiggle of the bat in between. It may well have cost us the match.

I think the reasoning was that although he had *finished* his stroke in terms of intent, the physical act of the bat swing never stopped. It went from attempted ramp continously onto the stumps. For me this was 50-50, I would have been satisfied if they ruled dead ball and not out.

Good appeal by BD, arguably debatable decision from the umpires.

Taylors wicket was very unfortunate. I'm sure he has had some unfortunate dismissals in the past too, but they just seem to follow him.

Wesley looks so much better in the middle order. I think that's his spot and he needs to stay there.

Other than that, same old problems, same old issues, let's just keep going round and round in circles without actually fixing anything. Can't have batsmen not kicking on and not giving the bowlers anything to defend. That is just poor.

Not sure what happened to K-long. It's like he decided to join the boys club. So grew his hair like them and has decided to start playing like them too. This is a big problem because mediocre players are getting chosen which means we don't actually have a strong side and this is why we will always struggle to consistently compete against other teams. These mediocre players have one or two good games at domestic level, so they get into the national side and they are not up to it, so they play poorly and it affects the team overall.

When was the last time we had a full-strength side? We always seem to have a few guys out due to muscle strains, vacation plans, the flu, and disciplinary reasons. With our depth basically non-existent we can't afford to always be missing two of our top six players.
My All-time Zimbabwe XI
Neil Johnson, Brendan Taylor, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), David Houghton, Sean Williams, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Paul Strang, Eddo Brandes, Blessing Muzarabani

Yeah, when people make XI lineups choosing all of Williams, Taylor, Ervine, Raza as well as Blessing, Chatara, Myers, Madhevere, Marumani, it looks more like what we used to do in post-rebel era "what-could-have-been" XIs. Will we ever see them all in the same XI?

Wes I reckon should be at like number 4 or something with Myers at 3ish and Taylor opening. I say this because he cant find the boundary easily at the death like Brendan or the other seniors. Maybe move Marumani down as well? Get Taylor and Raza opening

Shocked to see most improved cricketer Tiripano not in the side. If he is given bit of confidence in domestic & A games, he can bat at n.o 4 for Zim in shorter format and provide some balance in the set up.

The BT decision was also harsh and cost us maybe 40 runs. Our own guys never ever have our backs but also at the same time with all his experience BT should have never found himself in that position.

Why BT ? He is doing the job for long time, rest seems doesnt have any liability to turn 30 s & 40s into big score.

What position? It was a freak accident. Not like he was deep in his crease and stepped back to play a shot. How can you blame BT for it.
Taylor was wrongly given out IMO. The ball was already dead & Taylor was fully balanced. He hit the wicket afterwards. (I am a Bangladeshi, so telling it from neutral point of view.)
Although the video is in Bangla. You just look at the videos & laws. Except Taylor incidence, all other was given not out.
