Any pace bowlers in the under 19s squad? Seems very batter heavy and with saul wohulter Bawa welch and Bennett brothers we are not light in that department.

I hear the U19WC is confirmed to be starting on January 3rd.
They are going to have to get a move on with prep. Surely there will be a tour(s) somewhere at some point beforehand?

Probably very good, because as usual it will be a senior side made up of guys in their mid to late 20's lying about their age.

Anything can happen in the group matches I guess, It's a shoot out really and who hold their nerve.
Again I think it would be a folly if ZC don't incorporate some of these players into the domestic 50 over competition next week

Out of the current batch of u19 players is there a chance of any of them being absorbed into the ZC system or are we going to see another Myers situation? I'm assuming Bawa will most probably take the Myers route. Who else is close to that level in this crop?
Shumba and Wes were kind of in the ZC system from the time they turned 15. Mangongo was talking about them for years. I'm beginning to think this was a 1 off situation

Saul and Welch looked solid in parts against Namibia and didn't look overawed.
Them and Bawa I would be looking to play in the 50 overs matches starting friday.
Bennet looked a bit like a 20/20 specialist. need to see a bit more I think for a proper judgement

Ya it's not ideal at all. They were supposed to be playing a franchise side 5 Saturdays in a row but I think it only happened two or three times. Not sure what happened to the other games.
Can only hope it ramps up soon and they have good 6 weeks or so before they fly out to the caribbean.

This is just a guess but I'm thinking didn't a lot of them have exams over the last 3 or so weeks. If I'm remembering correctly A-levels are written around this time.
